Balancing life is not easy for anyone and many people struggle with finding balance as they progress through their careers. Our team believes that it does not have to be that way. We have experienced and seen that after doing much reflection it is possible to design a simple life balance strategy that can help you get on a much healthier track.
There are many reasons why you may be looking at transitioning or changing your career a role. Sometimes when you pay close attention, you will notice that there has been an imbalance in some form or shape. This imbalance coupled with work requirements and changes has gotten you to a space of dissatisfaction. It is thus imperative to look clearly at how other areas of your life have been affected and to what degree would you like to begin addressing this imbalance.
In this simple exercise, assess how you feel in these areas of your life: WORK, PLAY, LOVE, HEALTH. Have the assessment ranked on a scale of 1 - 5 with 1 being highly unsatisfied and 5 being highly satisfied.
The next career and role you pursue, you have to realise that these other elements of your life also matters and need to be incorporated. In other terms, live a little.
